Order your Lateral Flow Covid Test for Travel
Lateral Flow and PCR tests for Travel in Bournemouth
We now offer online ordering and home delivery of Covid Tests for Travel. These Lateral Flow Covid Tests (also known as Antigen Tests) can be used for:

Outbound Travel from the UK to certain international destinations.
(This varies from country to country, and may depend on your vaccination status. For the latest rules check the UK Government's foreign travel advice.)

Covid tests prior to returning to the UK.
If you are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated you need to take a Covid Test within 72 hours before travelling.

Day 2 Test after arrival in the UK
Fully vaccinated travellers need to take a Lateral Flow Covid Test on or before Day 2 after their arrival in the UK (arrival day is Day 0).
Unvaccinated and Partially Vaccinated travellers need to take Day 2 and Day 8 PCR tests after arriving in the UK.

Current operations and service

This is a message to update all of our customers who use our pharmacy. Thank-you for everyone's support, kind words and patience. We are hopeful that everything is moving in the right direction as we strive to get back to a normal way of life before the pandemic emerged. In line with current recommendations it is mandatory to wear a face mask or face covering in our pharmacy until further notice. We have relaxed the limit on the number of customers allowed into the pharmacy at any one time. We respectfully ask that, if it seems busy inside the pharmacy at the time of your visit, to please queue outside the door leading into the pharmacy in an effort to maintain social distancing. We do aim to keep the queue moving to minimise waiting for our customers but there will be certain peak times where this is unavoidable. Please bear with us when this occurs. 

It has been an extraordinarily busy time over the last few weeks at Poole Bay, perhaps the busiest we have been My sincerest apologies for the fact that we have often not been able to answer all the phone calls coming into the pharmacy currently. It is not our intention and we are working hard to get back to trying to answer every call as things settle down after Christmas and the New Year. We also had two long-standing, experienced members of staff leave recently for genuine reasons. We wish nothing but the best for them and the good friendship that developed will remain between us all at the pharmacy. We have recently recruited new staff so please bear with us at the moment as they find their feet with training. I would ask that anyone who is able to access online services to try and order their prescriptions in this way. This frees up the phone for those who unable to use or access online services. These are often the most vulnerable, frail and housebound patients who can only contact us by phone. You can use our website/app, surgery online service or NHS app to order repeat prescriptions. Our own website/app allows dependents to be added so you can order on someone else's behalf from a single login. 

With regards to COVID vaccinations, I would personally like to say that there a variety of reasons for why someone would choose to get vaccinated or not. Vaccinations are one of  a number of  effective measures in the fight against COVID-19 but we should not be ostracising those who choose not to get vaccinated because they have legitimate and genuine concerns. We need to be inclusive as a community and society and be kind to each other. No-one should be left behind or disadvantaged because they do not wish to get vaccinated at this time.
