Royal Mail/DPD

All orders are dispatched using Royal Mail or DPD, dependant on the choices made at checkout, with the exception of those orders containing more than 2 aerosols and heavy/bulky packages and for these our alternative delivery partner, DPD is used.

Standard Delivery (48-hour service)

  • Fully tracked 3-5 working days from the date of dispatch - not guaranteed
  • 98% of orders are dispatched within 3 working days and normally delivered to your chosen address within 5 working days.
  • FREE for orders over £35 (£3.19 if under £35).

Tracked and Signed (48-hour service)

  • Cannot be used for orders containing more than 2 aerosols.
  • 2-3 working days from dispatch - not guaranteed. Signature required on delivery
  • Please note dispatch is usually within 1-3 working days from ordering. The 2-3 working days for tracked and signed delivery is on top of the dispatch timescales.
  • From £3.49*

Tracked (24-hour service)

  • Orders containing more than 2 aerosols will be dispatched using DPD.
  • Fully tracked 1-3 working days from the date of dispatch - not guaranteed
  • 98% of orders are dispatched within 1-3 working days and aims to deliver the next working day - not guaranteed
  • These orders are not expedited dispatch. Please see our special next day service for expedited delivery.

Tracked and Signed (24-hour service)

  • Orders containing more than 2 aerosols will be dispatched using DPD.
  • 98% of orders are dispatched within 1-3 working days and aims to deliver the next working day - not guaranteed. Signature required on delivery.
  • Please note dispatch is usually within 1-3 working days from ordering. The 24-hour delivery service is for tracked and signed delivery is on top of the dispatch timescales.
  • These orders are not expedited dispatch. Please see our special next day service for expedited delivery.

Special Next Day Delivery.

  • Not available on orders containing more than 2 aerosols to Ireland and the offshore islands of England and Scotland.
  • Packages containing more than 2 aerosols, to mainland UK, will be sent via DPD next day service, not guaranteed before 1 pm.
  • Guaranteed next day delivery on orders placed before 3.00pm Monday - Thursday.
  • Orders placed on a Friday will require special delivery next day Saturday service.
  • Signature required on delivery. (Deliveries not made on Sundays or Bank Holidays).

Delivery within the UK

All delivery dates are estimates and NOT guaranteed unless the Next Day service is selected and paid for.

Please note not every item is eligible for Special Next Day Delivery, the customer care colleagues will contact you if this option is selected but cannot be fulfilled. This could occur where additional information is required to authorise the sale of medicines.

Customers will receive an email on dispatch with their DPD tracking number and contact details.

Deliveries of 2 or more aerosols to Northern Ireland and the offshore islands of England and Scotland (including Highlands) will incur an additional charge of £6. Delivery will be via DPD on a 48-hour service. We may need to split orders to ensure delivery.

Click and Collect

  1. Choose from 1000's of health and beauty products and add them to your basket.
  2. At checkout, select the local Wedricks Pharmacy you would like to collect from.
  3. Enter your details and complete your order with our secure online payment process. You will receive an e-mail confirming we have received your order and are working on it.
  4. You will receive an email when your order is ready to collect. Please note the collection date and time on the e-mail as the item will not be ready to collect until after this point. Pop into your chosen Weldricks Pharmacy to collect your goods at a time convenient to you.

Prescriptions

FREE for all NHS Prescriptions

Private Prescriptions follow the same charges as normal transactions.

Heavy items

Heavy items will be sent using our alternative courier, DPD. Additional charges may apply. Customer Services will contact customers if this is the case.

Liquids and Aerosols

Orders containing more than 2 aerosols cannot be sent using Royal Mail Next Day Delivery and so will be sent using DPD - additional charges will apply. Customer Services will contact customers with further information once an order is received.

Unfortunately, we cannot deliver aerosols internationally, to Northern Ireland or to the offshore islands of England and Scotland. We can, however, still deliver to the Scottish Highlands mainland but due to a change of courier service a postage charge may occur, please call our customer services team for more information on 0808 164 3211.

Delivery outside of the UK

We regret that since The European Union Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD) (2011/62/EU) (1) was implemented in the UK on 1st June 2015 we are not allowed to supply UK licensed medicines to any other EU member state, this is because medicines licensed for the UK are not normally licensed for another EU country.

We do not offer delivery to non-UK countries.

Postage Insurance

Unfortunately, your order is only covered for contents up to £100, Special Next day Guaranteed service orders are covered for up to £750.

If any package is of a higher value than this, then it is the responsibility of the customer to obtain additional postal insurance. Details of these costs can be gained by contacting our Customer Service Department.

Deliveries to Northern Ireland and the offshore islands of England and Scotland will incur additional postage charges. Customer Services will contact you with further information once your order is received.

Current operations and service

This is a message to update all of our customers who use our pharmacy. Thank-you for everyone's support, kind words and patience. We are hopeful that everything is moving in the right direction as we strive to get back to a normal way of life before the pandemic emerged. It is not mandatory to wear a face mask or face covering in our pharmacy currently. We do encourage customers to where a face mask in the pharmacy which is a busy healthcare setting to protect both yourself and others. We have relaxed the limit on the number of customers allowed into the pharmacy at any one time. We respectfully ask that, if it seems busy inside the pharmacy at the time of your visit, to please queue outside the door leading into the pharmacy in an effort to maintain social distancing. We do aim to keep the queue moving to minimise waiting for our customers but there will be certain  times where this is unavoidable. Please bear with us when this occurs. 

It has been an extraordinarily busy time over the last few weeks at Poole Bay, perhaps the busiest we have been My sincerest apologies for the fact that we have often not been able to answer all the phone calls coming into the pharmacy currently. I would ask that anyone who is able to access online services to try and order their prescriptions in this way. This frees up the phone for those who unable to use or access online services. These are often the most vulnerable, frail and housebound patients who can only contact us by phone. You can use our website/app, surgery online service or NHS app to order repeat prescriptions. Our own website/app allows dependents to be added so you can order on someone else's behalf from a single login. 

Patients registered at the Westbourne Medical Centre can also drop their repeat order list inside the white letterbox, inside main surgery entrance, to avoid queuing at the pharmacy. Make sure to tick all items you require and write anything down not on your regular list at the somewhere on this form. We usually put a current copy of your repeat order form inside the bag with the last  repeat medication you received.
